About Our Facilities

Artists Rep opens its doors to community organizations and individuals for a wide range of events and activities throughout the year. Various facilities and spaces are available to accommodate events of all types and sizes, and we offer discounted rates for qualifying non-profit organizations.

The intimate Alder and Morrison Theatres are ideal sites for performances, presentations, meetings, lectures, and community gatherings. The recently Morrison Lobby and Morrison Lounge provide the perfect setting for receptions, parties, or corporate entertaining. There are also a number of rooms and studios suitable for more intimate gatherings such as small parties, meetings, rehearsals, or presentations. If you’re looking for a distinctive venue for your next event, Artists Rep has a space for you!

Morrison Stage

Built in 2005, the Morrison Stage is the smaller of our two theaters. It is an intimate stage in a thrust configuration and seats up to 168 patrons. It is a fantastic space for plays and other performances, lectures, meetings, and workshops. A rental of the Morrison Stage includes use of a dedicated green room, box office, and the Morrison Lobby.

Artists Rep’s spacious and inviting Morrison Lobby is an ideal space to host an elegant seated dinner, unique party or large reception - all with the unique Portland flair you’ve been looking for! Recently remodeled to reveal its hidden beauty, the lobby is flanked by windows allowing for lots of natural light and features high ceilings, gleaming hardwoods, and a rotating art gallery with a rich red wall as a backdrop, all illuminated by the soft glow of our intimate and comfortable Morrison Lounge. Make the space your own using the striking lobby area, adaptable lounge, lovely mezzanine, long staircase and more. Your special event can shine with a creative flair.

Producer's Lounge

Located within the Morrison Lobby, this private room is ideal for an intimate dinner, lunch meeting or small gathering. The captivating, colorful walls of the lounge draw you to the room into the room and wrap your party in its vibrant mood. Designed to capture exactly the ambience that you would like to create, the walls can change colors to match the mood. The room features a large barn-door entrance, which can be opened for a larger crowd or closed to capture the intimacy of the room.

Alder Stage

Built in 1997, the Alder Stage is the larger of our two theaters. It is an intimate stage in a thrust configuration and seats up to 220 patrons. It is an ideal venue for plays and other performances, small conferences, speaker series, and workshops. A rental of the Alder Stage includes use of a dedicated green room, box office, and the Alder Lobby.

Additional Info

Rates include set-up, cleaning fee, site coordinator, utilities, heating, and house lighting. Additional labor needs will be estimated in advance by Artists Rep and charged at additional rates.

The Morrison Lobby and  Lounge are furnished with large, custom-made tables, large tuffets for seating, dark walnut coffee tables, and 5 bistro tables. This furniture may be used in any arrangement at no additional charge. A final floor plan is due two weeks before your event.

An event at Artists Rep is a special occasion, and we want to ensure that our catering reflects that high quality.  We’ve partnered with Rafati’s Catering as a Preferred Caterer for events held at Artists Rep.

Artists Rep may also provide a hosted or no-host bar of select beverages, exclusive of other catering services. Contact for more information at rentals@artistsrep.org.

Artist Rep has a parking lot attended by Star Park. Your guests have easy access to both our lot and street parking at low costs. The building is also easily accessed by several public bus lines and the MAX.

Artists Rep accepts checks and credit cards for payment. Events are considered booked upon confirmation from Artists Rep, with receipt of completed rental contract signed by both parties and non-refundable deposit. Deposit is 50% of total bill. Payment in full is due the day of the event.

Non-profit organizations [501(c)3] receive a discount off the cost of any package price.
