Our programs help build healthy communities.

At Artists Repertory Theatre, we believe that exposure to the arts is a necessity, not a luxury. Art helps develop students’ understanding of themselves and their communities. And theatre strengthens their critical thinking, problem solving, and communications skills, as well as encouraging literacy and creativity. We are committed to sharing our time, talents, and artistic processes with students and organizations throughout the region.

“My students have not stopped talking about, discussing, analyzing, contemplating, & wondering about Next to Normal - how phenomenal!” –Teacher, Parkrose High School

“In working with disadvantaged youth, many have never had the opportunity to see a musical, let alone one that speaks to many of their concerns in their world. The performance was spectacular. I watched as some of our roughest kids were hanging on every song and every word. It was very exciting to watch.”—Teacher, Merlo Station High School
