BE A LIGHT, BRING YOUR LIGHT & JOIN US!

Artists Rep will join theatres locally and nationwide to host a gathering for The Ghostlight Project at the ArtsHub on Thursday, January 19. The event invites patrons, community partners, Resident Artists, along with Resident Companies in the ArtsHub to stand in solidarity valuing the inclusion and recognition of all people and in resistance to intolerance of any kind. All are welcome.

At exactly 5:30pm, across the country, people will come together at theatres locally and across the country to create a “light” for the challenging times ahead, and to make, or renew, a pledge to stand for and protect the values of inclusion, participation and compassion for everyone regardless of race, class, religious, and country of origin, immigration status, (dis) ability, gender identity or sexual orientation.

PLEDGE TO STAND AND PROTECT THESE VALUES WITH US!

The event at Artists Rep begins at 5pm in the Morrison Lobby, on the eve of the Presidential Inauguration. At 5:30pm sharp, all gathered will illuminate Artists Rep’s enduring beacon of light at the theatre with our own.Artists Rep will pledge our commitment to serve as a sanctuary.

BRING:  A light source that can be turned on and off.  Not necessarily a candle. Think bigger, brighter and be creative. The idea is that we turn on our lights in unison and together create a force of light.

EVERYONE is welcome to come together and stand in solidarity as we look to the future.

OTHER PORTLAND GATHERINGS: Portland Center Stage, Oregon Children's Theatre, Bag & Baggage and more. Look HERE for the full list.
