"Tazha" Williams is a multi-faceted artist: painter, drummer, poet, and intersectional advocate. Her work is a means to explore identity, healing and transformation. Through representation in her work, Tazha aims to uplift the narrative of marginalized folks who are under-represented in the art world, the media and society. Awards for her work include the Alexander Salazar Easel Art Fair winner, the Livingkindness Foundation award, and the MRG Foundation's Lilla Jewel Award Grant of 2017. Tazha has also been featured in the San Diego Union Tribune, on The Today Show and on KUSI news for her artistic talent. Originally from San Diego, CA, she currently resides in Portland, OR where she studies design at PNCA.
