Bill Thomason Finance Director503.241.9807 ext 118 bthomason@artistsrep.org Bill has dedicated his career to enhancing the quality of life for a diverse community of people. His work has included positions with kids and adults in need of homes, work, security, education, creative outlets, meaningful diversion and respect. He has served as a Houseparent for emotionally disturbed children, the Business Manager of a sheltered workshop for disabled adults, Administrator of a major liberal church, Chief Financial Officer of Portland’s Children’s’ Museum and the Director of Finance for the Museum of Contemporary Craft. He is known as someone who can balance budgets with missions. Said another way, he is comfortable carefully managing resources while working to achieve excellence. Bill taught accounting, founded non-profit organizations and served on a number of boards often assuming the role of Treasurer. He has earned recognition as a team leader, raising funds and successfully completing capital projects of over 8 million dollars. He appreciates his “behind the scenes” role while continuing the development of resources and systems to make it easier for the true artists to accomplish their work. |
