Alyssa began her career at Artists Rep as an intern in February 2007. Like others in the organization, her love of theater began as a performer, with roles ranging from the White Witch’s dwarf in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to Betty, a prostitute, in The Threepenny Opera. Wanting more involvement in arts administration rather than production, Alyssa interned, worked part-time, and eventually became a full-time employee at Artists Rep after she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies from the University of Portland in May 2008. Originally from Olympia, Washington, but loving the Portland life, Alyssa spends her spare time playing soccer, bouldering, and coaching the UP Speech and Debate team.
