As Director of Corporate Relations for Artists Repertory Theatre, Christee Sweeney manages corporate giving and sponsorship programs. Before joining Artists Rep, she served as the Director of Development and Communications for Volunteers of America® Oregon. Her experience also includes nine years with the Intel Oregon Public Affairs team where she was responsible for community grants, sponsorship programs and related marketing efforts. Prior to Intel, Sweeney served as the Director of Communications for the Portland Trail Blazers/Oregon Arena Corporation. She also spent seven years with Gerber Advertising as the head of their Public Relations Division. An Oregon native, Sweeney is a graduate of the University of Oregon School Of Journalism and St. Mary’s Academy in Portland. She is a Director Emeritus for the Portland Rose Festival Association and formally served as a board member for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Portland, Grantmakers of Oregon and SW Washington, the Portland Metro Chapter of Public Relations Society of America, the Youth Employment and Empowerment Program (YEEP) and the Portland Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Sweeney’s previous community involvement also includes service on the Governor’s (Oregon) Commission for Voluntary Action and Service and the University Park Community Center Advisory Committee. She is an active member of the Willamette Valley Development Officers.
